Investing in the change:
After graduating with my Political Economics degree from
Started working life:
I did almost all of the roles in the bank from front office to back office. During the first few years, I worked at front office; was involved in a lot of customer service duties. After a few years, I was transferred to the credit department which was considered to be middle office and in the last decade I supported the team from back office.
One time significant investment in your life:
Working with the same organization for more than 30 years makes me know people, networks, firm and industry inside out. You cannot hear or read these experiences from others; you have to experience it on your own. It takes a lot of time and efforts to truly reach your achievement. I’ve seen how market grows, declines, matures all the cycles, you name it.
Successful Investor as a Mother and Wife:
I think it’s true for many people that family is the first priority in life. It’s also true for me. My husband and I invested in education for our children significantly. We supported them both mentally and financially. We are very fortunate that our children are successful in their academics, careers and social lives. This is a major investment that I enjoy the percentage of return.
Before I became a member of Board of Directors; I tried to work 8 hours a day and tried not to work over time or overworked; but I had to ensure the professionalism, efficiency and effectiveness. When I came home I enjoyed a company of my husband (before he passed away) and my children. Now, I love to spend time with my grandchildren: Parisa Rasphone and Avida Souannavong.
And I also invest for my enjoyment in home decoration, gardening, exercising and having organic foods.
Tips for success:
